Connect network drives (Windows)
First of all, make
sure that the computer is connected to the ZMT network with a network cable and
that the WLAN and network cable are not connected simultaneously.
PROCEDURE
The following manual
explains how to access the personal network folder (Z:) using the example of a user with
the username "xyz". To access the
personal network folder, enter the following path in the address line of
the file manager (Windows Explorer) and confirm with ENTER:
\\fileserver.leibniz-zmt.zmt\users\xyz
Group folders can be accessed under this path:
\fileserver.leibniz-zmt.zmt\projects\
The respective group folder should be added to this path, using the "public" folder as an example the path would look like this:
\fileserver.leibniz-zmt.zmt\projects\public
IMPORTANT: The first time you connect to one of these paths, you
may be prompted for a user name and password (ZMT account), this authentication
looks different depending on the hardware used:

NOTEBOOK:
NAME: leibniz-zmt.zmt\xyz

Authentication at the
DESKTOP:
NAME: xyz
PASSWORD: (see ZMT

To permanently
connect a network drive (map), please right-click on the workstation/computer
in the opened Windows Explorer and enter the corresponding path and a drive
letter via "Connect network drive".
