When the KeePassXC password manager is started for the first time after the initial installation, a password database file must be created using the + Create Database button.
The passwords are saved in this database file. If the database file is lost, the saved entries are also lost.
First, you are asked for a name for the database file. A description of the file can then be entered if required.
The pre-set settings can be retained here.
This step involves assigning a password, which is required to open the database file. You can generate a password by clicking on the die symbol.
Example password: Letters (upper & lower case), special characters and numbers.
Example password: Words separated with special characters.
Selection of storage location:
Home Drive - abc (Z:):

ZMTcloud:
With this option, the user must ensure that the latest file is also regularly synchronized with the ZMTcloud. An internet connection is required for synchronization and the Owncloud desktop client so that the database file can also be accessed offline.
Direct storage on the end device (not recommended):
If the device is lost or damaged, it may no longer be possible to access the database file.
