Printer installation (Windows)

First of all, make sure that the computer is connected to the ZMT network with a network cable and that the WLAN and network cable are not connected simultaneously. Exceptions such as connections via VPN or ZMT-Intra in the WLAN are explained separately.

PROCEDURE

To install a printer, open the file manager (Windows Explorer) and write the following path to the address line:

\\printserver01

Confirm your entry with ENTER, select the desired printer and click on "Connect..." with a RIGHT CLICK with the mouse.

If a prompt appears at this point, please use the user name as well as the password from the ZMT account form, this can look different for desktop users than for notebook users. Here is an example based on a user named "xyz":

Authentication at the DESKTOP:

NAME: xyz

PASSWORD: (see ZMT account form)

Authentication at the NOTEBOOK:

NAME: leibniz-zmt.zmt\xyz

PASSWORD: (see ZMT account form)

The new printer is now displayed in the Printer area of the Control Panel and can be used immediately.
